OxSiCoat does not contain any VOC’s or toxic metals.
Its longevity of performance reduces the manufacturing volume of elements that are coated, which reduces the output of manufacturing and its impact on the environment.
The quality of protection that OxSiCoat provides enables the underlying anodize layer to be reduced to tens of nanometers, this has important cost savings for manufacturers. This reduction in anodize reduces electricity usage significantly and thereby has a positive environmental impact.





Aluminum is a soft and beautiful metal to work with the finishes that can be achieved make it aesthetically very pleasing. Its light - weight quality makes it ideal for a wide range of uses. Its limitation has always been its susceptibility to corrosion and scratching. OxSiCoat solves these two particular issues. By chemically bonding to the metal the glass coating hermetically seals the surface, perfectly preserving the finish and preventing filiform corrosion.
The abrasion resistance intrinsic in the glass enables aluminum to be coated and protected from scratches.
A wide range of finishes are compatible with OxSiCoat allowing the surface metal to be preserved. The superb clarity of the glass enables a finished metal to retain its appearance without degradation. A highly polished finish will not tarnish or dull, it will remain exactly as it looked at the time of coating.
The outer surface of OxSiCoat is a glass and it is cleaned exactly as glass is it can be wiped over with a cloth or washed in water. It does not require any special cleaning products or polishing, cleaning it is quick and cheap, making it suitable for a wide range of exterior and interior decorative finishes.
The possibilities open to designers, engineers and artists for whom the finish and function of the metal are equally important, are almost limitless when the properties of OxSiCoated aluminum are considered. These range from casings such as laptop or phone shells, to lighting and switches, sculpture, kitchenware or trim.


Camping and leisure equipment


The lightness of aluminum makes it a very useful metal for all manner of camping and leisure equipment. OxSiCoat is virtually weightless (less than one micron) and can therefore protect equipment from corrosion due to exposure to the elements without adding weight to the product.
Its corrosion protection is extraordinary. The coating is molecularly bonded so it creates a hermetic seal preventing filiform corrosion (caused by tiny pinhole size gaps between the metal and the surface). OxSiCoat is the perfect sealant for any equipment that is exposed to the elements, such as putting flagpoles on golf courses; rowing oars; tent poles.
The heat resistance properties of OxSiCoat also make it perfect for coating cooking utensils for camping and expedition use. OxSiCoat can withstand temperatures of 500 degrees Celsius (of directly applied heat) without degradation. As it is a heatproof glass coating it is also extremely easy to clean, which is an important factor when wild camping.
